Roney's Point Hospital
Investigations » Roney's Point Hospital
For weeks prior to the investigation, I interviewed people that had gone up to the old hospital in Triadelphia. While many of the stories varied, they all had one odd connection - a purported apparition that appears at random where the hospital's morgue was located.
After securing permission from the property's caretaker, myself and Investigator Noel Black packed up and headed for the hills. We were absolutely excited by the prospect of catching a full bodied entity on film. We took with us a single exposure disposable camera, a digital camera, a voice activated audio cassette recorder and an EMF meter.
Upon arrival at the hospital, we made entry by way of a rear basement opening. Once we entered the building, we immediately noticed a drastic temperature variance. Noel did a quick survey of the area, and I set up the tape recorder for an EVP session. Unfortunately, we were unable to discern any voices on the tape upon playback.
We did debunk one of the claims:
An entity was said to push people down the steps if they walked down them in the dark.
Upon inspecting the stairs in question, we immediately noted a large amount of debris and dirt that had accumulated on them over the years. In fact, there was so much that it looked like a ramp at first. It was pretty easy to figure out why they fell down the stairs in the dark.
Reference: Stairs.
While doing a walk through of the building, I recorded several anomalous spikes on the EMF meter. Although I was unable to determine a source for the stray energy readings, I collected no evidence (by way of audio or visual) that they were caused by any supernatural force. We stayed until the wee hours of the night, still, capturing no evidence. Truth be told, the building didn't even "feel" haunted. I know, terrible thing for a scientifically minded person to say.
After taking some interesting photos, we decided to call it a night. It is no fun crawling around an abandoned hospital in the dark. Especially when this building is considered "structurally unsound." Believe me, that is an understatement.
Following the investigation of Roney's Point Hospital, it is this investigator's opinion that the old, albeit creepy, facility is not haunted.
