Area 51: Groom Lake, Paradise Ranch, Watertown, Dreamland
by forum member Hobbes

Area-51 is a Military base in Rachel, Nevada, 90 miles South of Las Vegas used for testing secret Aircraft that the government uses (The SR-71 Blackbird was first tested there).

This military base is subject to hundereds, maybe thousands of UFO sightings since the early 1950s. This top-secret, extremely secure base is also subject to over a thousand stories, both told by people who have been inside and outside of the base, ranging from Reverse Engineering UFOs to hiding dead alien bodies in hangers. It is a truely amazing subject, as everything is questioned, even the guards that work there!

I'll touch briefely on each aspect of Area-51, starting with places to see it from.

Where can you see it from? No where! All of the places to have any good view of Area-51 have been blocked, most recently Freedom Ridge.

The Government has spread its parameters so that no one sees the base clearly, even through the surrounding mountains. Why? Probably for more testing ground, but you never know (they don't want us to see aliens).

Another infamous part of this creepy area are the signs. They have threatening messages on them, so you don't go in.

If the signs don't keep you out, the guards will. "Camo dudes" are guards that keep watch on ANYONE who goes NEAR the gate.

They'll never go near you. If you go in, though, they'll take you, take your equipment, and you'll pay a hefty fine. They're harsh. They drive White Camo trucks, and with these trucks can only arrest you on the Property, they can't go any further.

How do the Camo dudes find you? They hide Cameras, Mics and other sensors to make sure you're found.

This is a place where believers, non-believers, and so on go to find out more about Area-51 while having a good drink. People camp here to see UFOs at night. It's a good pub!

Remember Roswell? Well this is where after-math was put. This is where the "weather balloon" was put. Reports of dead Aliens also being stored in there by former employees are also part of the mystery.

At Open-House day in Area-51, they'll show you every hangar... except this one. Some even believe this is where you enter the underground bases.

No one knows how or why hangar 18 was chosen.

On a nearby ranch, there lives a man named Steve Medlin. What is so great about him? Well, it is believed that Steve Medlin and the Gov't are in cahoots with each other. We don't know why, but it's still another great thing to try and figure out! Anyhow, the "Black Mailbox" (Which is now painted white) is a mailbox out of nowhere for Mr.Medlin. It is right outside the restricted area, and some people believe that the people in the Base get mail via this box. It wasn't locked before, as it is now, so this is where the reports come from.

When the black mailbox was black:

The workers have to get to work somehow, right? Well they can't just drive their cars in, so they take a bus instead. With blacked out windows, a white bus picks up a bunch of people at a sign that advertises Extraterrestrial highway (375, over thousands of UFO reports on this highway, Area-51 is right off of this highway as well) and takes them into the Restricted Area.

Reports of weird objects taken onto the bus as well as blueprints and so on have given this bus curiosity. It has only been seen a couple of times, though everyone knows where it is parked when it is not in service. No one is allowed in it.
